It all started when our legendary late co-founder Bas threw an underground rave for his barefoot friends. Over the years it grew into a large celebration of raw creativity, with 5000 pairs of bare feet attending on the fringes of Ruigoord and the beaches of Blijburg.
Despite its growth Shoeless always managed to maintain its friendly vibe. Old friends kept on returning and contributing to the gatherings. Some of them were so talented that they have now matured into renowned artists and producers with top international careers.
Wherever these paths may take them, and even if they now have the world at their feet, they’ll never forget where they first dipped their toes into the scene.
We learned a lot on this magical ride off the beaten track of event production too. And we will never forget Bas’ legacy of unbridled inspiration and enthusiasm.
