What I've learned about transformation design thus far #21

Beneath the surface of even the most comfortable life, there is an ache: a persistent sense that there is more, that one has not yet arrived at oneself, that the life being lived is somehow preliminary to some other life waiting to be claimed.

This ache goes by many names. Restlessness. Dissatisfaction. The midlife crisis. The quarter-life crisis. The vague feeling, even amid success, that something is missing. We medicate it, distract from it, explain it away. But it does not leave.
